Steve has been on a creative path since birth. Born to military parents in France. His mother having no name picked out, was reading the Sunday Funnies and decided her son was going to be like the Pilot and Adventurer, Comic Hero Steve Canyon.

Steve grew up in Lincoln, Massachusetts a small town next to the cradle of liberty of Lexington and Concord. An Artistic town, his neighbor was the Walter Gropius House (Bauhaus). How could he aspire to be anything else? A star athlete in High School (Minuteman Vocational, Lexington MA)and College, but always an artist first. Steve Graduated from Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Illustration and Packaging Design. While at Mass Art, Steve was recruited by the Boston Globe because of his Photo Retouching and Airbrush skills. Bit by the Newspaper bug, and after a short stint as Art Director for a Tech Startup. Steve accepted a position as Staff Illustrator for the Boston Herald. His airbrush artwork was appearing many times per week and being seen by an average of a million readers per day. Winning many awards from the Creative Club of Boston, Associated Press and the New England Newspaper Association.

30+ years later and holding positions of Art Director and then Director of Pre-press I.T. where he established himself as a leader in the Desktop Publishing Industry. Speaking at conferences and consulting all over the world. All the while still creating and stretching his creative roots to areas like Extreme Cake and Gingerbread House Design. A sweet hobby!

Steve is retired and living in Columbia, South Carolina with his French Bulldog Gaston.
